MECHANICSBURG - Ralph H. Ramsey Jr., 83, of Mechanicsburg, died Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Emeritus at Creekview, Mechanicsburg.
Born Dec. 15, 1928, in Lewistown, he was the son of late Ralph H. Ramsey Sr. and Ella (Kearns) Ramsey.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Reba (Stutts) Ramsey.
Also surviving are: son, Robert Ramsey and wife, Virginia; daughter, Tina Rusnak and husband, Michael, all of Carlisle; four grandchildren, Jake Ramsey, Becky Rusnak, Jared Ramsey, and Matthew Rusnak; and one great-grandchild, Meyer Ramsey.
Ralph was a graduate of Lewistown High School and also was a veteran in the U.S. Army.
Earlier in life he worked at Novinger's as a carpenter and belonged to the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.
Ralph enjoyed golfing, fishing and gardening.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., 108 First Ave., Burnham, with the Rev. Troy Howell officiating.
A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
