MOUNT PLEASANT MILLS - Leon S. Sharp, 62, of 106 Rocky Lane, passed away on Friday afternoon, June 15, 2012, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
He was born May 13, 1950, in Belleville, a son of Rebecca E. Sharp, of 5698 Heister Valley Road, Richfield, and the late Jacob C. Sharp. On June 18, 1983, he married the former Delores A. Boop, who survives.
He was employed by Renninger Lumber, Richfield, and retired in 2007 from Wood-Mode, Kreamer, due to disability.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by: one daughter and son-in-law, Jannie and Scott Ceresini, of Harbson, Del.; two sons, Justin Sharp, at home, and Matthew Sharp, who is serving with the Marine Corps, in Afghanistan; one grandson, Gabriel Ceresini; four brothers and their wives, Thomas Sharp, of Manheim, Willis and Susan Sharp, of Stoystown, Rudy and Bertha Sharp, of Belleville, and Phillip and Lisa Sharp, of Richfield; two sisters, Barbara Sharp, of Richfield, and Irene Heimbach, of Selinsgrove; four uncles; six aunts; one great-aunt; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Leon's request, there will be no viewing. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., with Pastor Alan Potter officiating.
Burial will be in the Richfield Union Cemetery.
