LEWISTOWN - Frank M. Hassinger, 90, formerly of West Hills, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Golden Living Center William Penn. He was born January 28, 1922, in Lewistown, and was the son of the late Frank M. and Alice G. (Decker) Hassinger.
His wife, Audrey (Stever) Hassinger, who he married in 1947, survives him.
He is also survived by: a son, Jeffrey Hassinger and wife, Susan of Fla., three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Frank was a letter carrier for the U. S. Post Office for 32 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving during World War II in the South Pacific, as a Staff Sergeant. He was a member of the Lewistown Presbyterian Church, the National Association of Letter Carriers for 50 years and a life member of Elks Lodge #663.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 18, at the Barr Funeral Home inc., 120 Logan St., in Lewistown, with the Rev. Robert Zorn officiating. Interment will be at Juniata Memorial Park. A Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Graveside Military Services will be provided by VFW Post 7011.
