To the editor:
Truly a "community event" this year's Reedsville Community Day was another successful event. We were so pleased to have the Mifflin County 4-H Dairy Feeder Club and Boy Scouts involved. Kerry Rager, 4-H Leader, tells us that next year he hopes to get more 4-H groups involved. Great.
We crowned a new Little Miss Reedsville. Five-year old Amaris Fultz, daughter of Eric and Natalie Fultz, of Honey Creek Road, Reedsville, was crowned by last year's Little Miss, Bella Severson. All contestants were given flowers from J.A.E. Designs, and prizes from Bohn Furniture, Brindel's Hardware, Billy's BBQ, Crafts By Emily, Honey Creek Inn, Logan House, Michele's Pizzeria, Main Street Market, Squire Brown's, Ron's Fruit Market, Toots' Place, First National Bank, Kish Bank, Juniata Valley Bank, Wilson's Gifts & Jewelry. Cindy Bratton coordinated the contest in wonderful fashion, with Buda from WCHX as master of ceremonies and a special Louie Armstrong performance by Mark E. Bush.
Thanks to all our event coordinators, Vickie McClellan, Summer Weiss, Cindy Bratton, Mona Macknair, Kirk Rager, Dave McNitt and Jo Ann Smith, along with special event judges, Samuel S. Smith, Mark Knarr, Amanda Parker, and Jimmy Wilkinson.
Many thanks to the following for supporting our day, Brown Township Supervisors and Employees, Evangelical Lutheran Church, J.V.
