BEECH CREEK - Mifflin County continued its rivalry Wednesday when it made the trek to Beech Creek to take on the Crickets.
When the locals came back over the mountain, the outcome was not what they envisioned. Beech Creek scored a run on a single in the eighth inning to get a 2-1 win over Mifflin County in extras.

Mifflin Count's Haden Snook took a tough loss after going seven and a third and scattering eight hits.
"Haden pitched a pretty good ballgame," coach Larry Wolfe said. "We gave up an unearned run in the eighth and that was the game."
Beech Creek's Kyle McGregor belted an RBI single in the eighth to drive home Wes Smeal for the game-winning run.
Mifflin County scored in the fourth after a two-out single by Evan Pupo. Pupo was brought home on a Heath Hidlay single.
Mifflin County had three hits to Beech Creek's eight. The locals will host Clarence today.
"I don't think we had the leadoff hitter on base all game," Wolfe said. "We have to find a way to score some runs."
West Snyder 8, Catawissa 0
MIDDLEBURG - Bailey Coder pitched a complete game shutout as West Snyder beat Catawissa 8-0 in legion baseball action.
Coder scattered four hits over his seven innings of work while striking out three and allowing a walk.
Luke Zimmerman collected three RBIs for West Snyder and Dakhota Sweitzer had a pair. Shane Connahan was 3-for-3. Sweitzer, Coder and Colton Keister each had a pair of hits.
