REEDSVILLE - Dorothy H. Fisher, 81, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, June 10, 2012. She was surrounded by loved ones at her home at 25 Locust Drive, Reedsville.

Born April 7, 1931, in Yeagertown, Dorothy was the daughter of Ross C. and Blanche (Kratzer) Romig.

Her husband, Walter P. Fisher, preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 2011.

She was preceded in death by: two brothers, David and John Romig; one sister, Marian Soccio; and two grandchildren, Justin S. Fink and Mary Jane Borys.

Remaining siblings include Melvin Romig and wife, Joan, of Naginey, Eleanor Swanger and husband, Fred, of Lewisburg, and William Romig and wife, C. Jeanne, of Canton.

Dorothy leaves behind four children, Walter L. Fisher and wife, Roxanne, of Milroy, Nancy E. Borys and husband, Walter, of New Lancaster Valley, Barbara A. Dremann and husband, Jeffrey, of Honey Brook, and Teresa J. Fink and husband, Tod, of Milroy.

Surviving grandchildren include, in order of age, Walter Allen Borys, Crystal Fisher, Cory Fisher, Jared Fink, Clint Fink, Candace Fisher and Zachary Dremann. Great-grandchildren include Angel Fisher, Hannah and Abram Borys, Jade Brower and Megan and Faith Renninger.

Dorothy worked for the American Viscose Corporation for 35 years, retiring in 1993.

Dorothy was an avid fisherwoman and spent many summers fishing with her husband in Canada.

Dorothy loved her family, friends and Savior and dedicated her life in the service to all. Her passing leaves a great void in the lives of all who loved her.

Dorothy was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, in New Lancaster Valley, where she lived from 1974 until 2008. After moving to Reedsville in 2008, she and her husband attended Church Hill UMC.

There will be no public viewing. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice of charities, or to one of Dorothy's choices: The Salem United Methodist Church, 2694 New Lancaster Valley Road, Milroy, PA 17063, Grove Memorial United Methodist Church, where Dorothy's daughter serves as pastor, 611 S Main St., Lewistown, PA 17044, or Hospice: The Bridge, whose employees tenderly provided comfort care during her final days on earth, 305 Fourth St, Lewistown, PA 17044.

Now, absent from the body, Dorothy is in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, and doing very well. Praise His holy name forever! Amen!
