Gerald W. ‘Jerry’ Shehan

MIFFLINTOWN - Gerald W. "Jerry" Shehan, 75, of Mifflintown, died Friday, June 8, 2012, at his home.

Born Sept. 21, 1936, in Van Wert, he was a son of the late Alfred E. and Norma P. (Willoughby) Shehan.

He is survived by: his wife, Kathy (Rini) Shehan, whom he married Nov. 12, 1971; two children, Greg Shehan, of Mifflintown, and Colleen Patrick and husband, Brian, of Hummelstown; one brother, Harold L. "Hap" Shehan and wife, Joanne, of McAlisterville; and two grandsons, Brian and Nicholas Patrick.

He graduated from Juniata Joint High School in 1954, and served in the United States Air Force.

Jerry was a draftsman for various companies and was a maintenance worker at Empire Kosher Poultry.

He was a life-long member of the NRA and a member of the Juniata Co. Sportsmen's Association.

He enjoyed gardening, target shooting and hunting, and was very proud of his whole family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service and interment at 2 p.m. Monday, at Lost Creek Mennonite Cemetery, with Rev. Donald Walters officiating. There will be no viewing.

For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Juniata County Sportsmen's Association, in care of Bill Taylor, 83 Deer Haven Road, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
