To the editor:
We want to thank District Attorney, Dave Molek, for explaining what the tea party represents. We would also like to mention what our Mifflin County Tea Party Patriots group is accomplishing locally and nationally. We are trying to defeat Obamacare by encouraging our legislators, doctors groups, religious organizations and liberty groups to support the Health Care Compact and voting initiatives. We are also working on removing the Pennsylvania smart meter mandate by submitting written testimony to our state representatives and by educating the public on the disadvantages of smart meters.
This week we are hosting a "Freedom of Religion" rally to be held this Friday, June 8 at 5:30 pm at DP Music, across from Walmart. At this rally, we will be joined by local clergy in this important fight to protect our first amendment rights. If you want to make a difference, come to the rally and stand up for God and our Constitution.
We have a lot of goals to accomplish and not much time. There are many talented people in Mifflin and Juniata counties, and we would appreciate your input.
Mifflin County Tea Party Patriots meet once a month, on Thursdays, at the Moose Family Center in Lewistown. Our next meeting will be Thursday, June 21 at 6:30 pm. The topics for that meeting include Presidential election and our progress in dealing with the removal of the smart meter mandate.
So whether you choose the 9-12 project or Mifflin County Tea Party Patriots you can get involved to restore our nation back to its greatness.
