BELLEVILLE - David J. Byler, 54, of 27 Wengerd Lane, Belleville, died at 4 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012, at his residence.
Born March 28, 1958, in Belleville, he was a son of Joseph M. Byler and the late Sarah E. (Lantz) Byler, who preceded him in death on May 9, 1994, and stepmother, Rachel M. (Byler) Byler, all of Belleville.
Surviving are: his wife, Lena M. (Peachey) Byler; children, Joseph L. Byler and wife, Esther M., of Allensville, Ida M. Byler and husband, David J., and Katie M. Peachey and husband, Ivan J., of Belleville, Susanne M. Peachey and husband, Ezra L., of Allensville, and David E. Byler and wife, Barbara A., Aaron L. Byler, Eli J. Byler, Emanual I. Byler, Lena B. Byler and Elsie A. Byler, all of Belleville; siblings, J. Lee Byler and wife, Susanne, of Spring Mills, Joseph J. Byler and wife, Nancy, of Loganton, and Ruth A. Byler and husband, Ephraim, of Dundee, Ohio; half sister, Ada L. Byler, of Belleville; and 15 grandchildren.
Mr. Byler operated a plumbing and sharpening service and was Old Order Amish by faith.
A funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at his residence, 27 Wengerd Lane, Belleville. Viewing will be held Monday afternoon and evening, also at his residence. Burial will take place in Locust Grove Cemetery, Belleville.
