BELLEVILLE - Robert B. "Barney" Sausman, 86, of 20 Sausman Lane, Belleville, died at 3:15 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Malta Home, Granville.
Born Oct. 26, 1925, in Reedsville, he was a son of the late Banks F. and Helen B. (Bonson) Sausman. His wife, Mary E. (McCullough) Sausman, whom he married May 14, 1955, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Carol Yorks and husband, Donald, of East Berlin, Robert E. Sausman and wife, Cindy, of Reedsville, Randal L. Sausman and wife, Joann, of Belleville, and Helen J. Bender and husband, James, of Lewistown; sister, Betty Jane Gibboney, of Newport; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Sausman and three sisters, Isabel Wilson, Ruth Hornberger and an infant sister.
Mr. Sausman was a retired auto mechanic who owned and operated Sausman's Garage in Belleville.
He was a member of Reedsville United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, with Pastor John Walters officiating. Interment will follow in Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville.
