LEVITTOWN - Gary L. Teenie has moved on to a place where all of the pain and discomfort are no more. He passed away on Monday, May 21, 2012, at his home in Levittown, at the age of 67.
Gary was born April 21, 1945, in Lewistown, and moved to the Levittown area with his family when his father, Lee, began working at U.S. Steel Fairless Works.
After a tour of duty in Korea, Gary returned home to a job at the steel mill. He was also employed by the townships of Falls and Upper Southampton and recently was on disability from his job with PennDOT.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Lee Teenie, his sister, Debra Ritter, and a stepson, Jeff Goldman.
He is survived by: his wife of 42 years, Rebecca (Brenfleck); his daughter, Jennifer Hirleman; stepsons, Bill and Chris Goldman; his wonderful grandsons Tommy and Dylan Hirleman; his mother, Pauline (Kelly) Teenie, of Lewistown; and of course, by Emma. Gary also will be sadly missed by his buddies on the church bowling league. Bowling was his passion.
His funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at Christ United Methodist Church, 501 Wistar Road, Fairless Hills, where relatives and friends may call from 6:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place precisely at 2 p.m. Friday, May 25, in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
