To the editor:
We, the Milroy Lions Club, wish to thank the community for their support of our fundraising activities.
We are aware of many needs in our midst and it is our wish to try to assist organizations and individuals as they deal with trying situations.
We, the Lions Club, are only the conduit in this effort. It is really the support of the public that makes our efforts a success.
We wish to acknowledge and thank all who have supported our efforts to assist the following: Donna Shirk, Gracie Beers, Milroy Senior Citizens Center, Reedsville Meals-on-Wheels and Friends of the Mifflin County Library.
Our next fundraiser will be a spaghetti supper held from 4 to 7 p.m. this Thursday, May 24 at Milroy White Memorial Church. All profits from this supper will benefit the Mifflin County 4-H Camp building project at Penn Roosevelt Camp. We feel this is a very worthy cause which will be a great benefit to the youth of Mifflin County. Please come out and join us in this community project.
