Frederick J. Hagemeyer Sr.

YEAGERTOWN - Frederick J. Hagemeyer Sr., 84, of 110 Clover Ave., Yeagertown, died at 5:25 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at the Golden Living Center-William Penn Nursing Home.

Born Aug. 2, 1927, in Williamsport, he was the son of the late John J. and Blanche B. (Greene) Hagemeyer.

He is survived by his wife Patsy L. (Farleman) Hagemeyer whom he married on Sept. 23, 1949, and his children, Frederick J. Hagemeyer Jr. and wife, Jennifer, of Belleville, Linda M. White and husband, Robert, of Granville, Karen A. Stoner and husband, Michael, of Lewistown, and Gary L. Hagemeyer and wife, Joan, of Yeagertown; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings, Florence Eby, of Millersville, Ina Narber, of Muncy and Norma Everett, of Yeagertown.

He was preceded in death by: a great-grandson, Tyler Miller-Wagner; his brothers, Eugene, George, William and John Hagemeyer; and his sister, Louise Daubert.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II in the European Theatre.

He was employed in sales at S.H. Goss Fertilizer in Lewistown and was last employed as a janitor at Weis Markets.

His funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012, at the Heller-Hoenstine Burnham Funeral Home, 108 First Ave. with the Rev. Thomas Morningstar officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery where graveside military rites will be conducted by VFW. Post 7011, Lewistown.

His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to United Cerebral Palsy, 3 Monument Square, Lewistown, PA 17044.
