LEWISTOWN - G. William "Bill" Haney Sr., 73, of French Drive, Lewistown, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Ohesson Manor.
Bill was born June 25, 1938, in Pottsgrove, the son of the late Joseph and Edna (Wolfe) Haney. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Campbell, whom he married in 1956.
Also surviving are: children, Karen S. Boyer and husband, Rodney, of Coatesville, Guy W. Haney Jr. and wife, Lorri, of Lititz, Sharon K. Reichner, of Lewistown, and Lynne A. Weaver and husband, Eric, of Burnham; a sister, Carol Bakken and husband, Wesley, of Calif.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by Kenneth D. Haney, Myles E. Haney, Chester Haney and Kathryn R. Campbell.
Bill was a 1956 graduate of Chief Logan High School and worked for 40 years at Sperry New Holland, as a manager. He was a member of Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church, the Builder's class and Chief Logan Lions Club. He volunteered at Ohesson Manor and was a past Scout master of troops 2 and 18.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Barr Funeral Home, Inc., 120 Logan St., with the Rev. Thomas Morningstar officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
