On behalf of the Milroy Hose Co. I would like to say thank you to everyone who helped in anyway on Friday, April 20th when we had the mountain fire in Lingle Valley.
The outpouring of community help was awesome. There are some special thank you's we wanted to mention. Weis Market in Burnham for the gift cards to get bottled water, Burnham Giant for the 12 cases of water, Dunkin Donuts for the 3 dozen donuts, Vince at Vince's Pizza for the 2 Party Packs of pizza, Wal-mart for the gift card towards bottled water, Milroy Uni-Mart for the ice and water, Steve Bitner from the Old Country Store in Siglerville for the Gatorade and Soda and the Milroy American Legion for the ice and water and for also letting us use their parking lot as a staging area.
There were many others that helped keep all of our local firefighters, EMS, Fire Police etc. hydrated and fed by making sandwiches and running back and forth when things were needed.
Thank You again to EVERYONE for the help and support. Our volunteer firefighters and EMS truly appreciate it. We live in a very caring community.
