LEWISTOWN - Shirley M. Farleman, 76, of 26 Locust St., Lewistown, died at 5:17 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Lewistown Hospital.

Born June 29, 1935, in Reedsville, she was the daughter of the late Frank Sr. and Frances Amanda (Narehood) Rheam.

Her husband, James F. Farleman Sr., whom she married April 7, 1956, survives.

Also surviving are: her children, Daniel L. Farleman, Tina M. Farleman, Janice E. Farleman and Brenda Sconyers and husband, Eric, all of Lewistown; siblings, Margaret Swanger and Frances T. Rheam, both of Lewistown, Dorothy Phillips, of Milroy, and Shelby Stimely and Joann Russell, of Reedsville; and one granddaughter, Heather Sconyers.

She was preceded in death by: two sons, James F. Farleman Jr., on July 20, 1957, and Ronald James Farleman, on April 5, 1963; two brothers, Frank Rheam Jr. and Clifford R. Rheam, and one sister, Anna L. Farrell.

Shirley was a 1953 graduate of Armagh-Brown Joint High School. She was a homemaker and greatly enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and word searches, and was a member of Reedsville Evangelical Lutheran Church.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Bohn Funeral Home, 55 N. Main St., Reedsville, with Pastor Carla Volland officiating.

Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville.
