MIFFLINTOWN - The Juniata County Commissioners approved several routine business matters during their weekly public meeting Tuesday in Mifflintown.

The board took action on the following:

Approved a report of personnel transactions for non-state employees for four Children and Youth staff members.

The report references contracted pay scale and raise agreements; however, the commissioners' action Tuesday did not include the approval of any raises, Commissioner Jeffrey Zimmerman said.

Approved the submission of a HazMat Response Fund application submitted by Emergency Services Director Allen Weaver.

Zimmerman said the application is a routine submission for emergency funds.

Approved an annual agreement with the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole for grant-in-aid funds to provide additional probation staff. These employees will help with pre-sentencing investigations, improved probation supervision and programs.

This is an annual submission through the Probation and Parole Department, Zimmerman said.

Approved a one-year subscription to BudgetSense for updates and remote information technology support at a cost of $4,447.

Ratified community development block grant checks to David Eaton for $838 and to Daryl B. Hutchinson for $3,000.

Approved a HazMat check to Casner's Service Center in the amount of $159.15 for service on a green Dodge van used by the 911 Emergency Services Department.

Approved county bill payment checks Nos. 34,807 to 34,861 in the amount of $60,745.40. Check No. 34,809 was voided.
