Students from Huntingdon, Mifflin and Juniata counties compete in three areas, driving skill, perception ability and knowledge of Pennsylvania driving rules and regulations. The top team will get the travel trophy and the top individuals will win cash prizes and a trophy. The top two can move onto the statewide competition to earn up to $10,000 in scholarships. The competition is sponsored by the Central Chapter of PMTA.
The top team was from Huntingdon Area High School. The top individuals are, Joe Leitaell, first place, from Huntingdon Area; Kelvin Abrashoff, second place, from Mount Union Area; Shayla Bishop, third place, from Huntingdon Area; Shane Coons, fourth place, from Huntingdon Career and Tech; and Bobbi Thomas, fifth place, from Huntingdon Career and Tech.
