MILLMONT - Geraldine Mae Brininger, 87, formerly of Red Ridge Road, Mifflinburg, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont.
She was born March 8, 1925, in Decatur Township, Mifflin County, a daughter of the late Jay and Hattie (Knepp) Snook.
Her passing breaks a marital union of 69 years to Junior C. Brininger.

Geraldine also is survived by: one son and daughter- in-law, Kirby A. and Rose M. Brininger, of Mifflinburg; four grandchildren, Dena Rae Clark, Jeremy and Andrea Brininger and Megan Rhinehart; three stepgrandchildren, Scott A. and Bradley L. Wagner and Kristy M. Aurand; seven great-grandchildren, Abby, Tristan, Vance, Keeten, Aiden, Olivia, and Daisey Mae; 10 stepgreat- grandchildren, Hannah Grace, Kiley, Kurtis, Kaelyn, Kinnley Rose, Emily, Katie, Kiresten Rose, Bradley and Zachary; four sisters, Myrtle Arnold, of McClure, Edna Baker, of Beaver Springs, Jean Boonie, of Selinsgrove, and Arlene Bickel, of Reedsville; and two brothers, Dale Snook, of Middleburg, and Dennis Snook, of McClure.
She was preceded in death by one son, Leon L. Brininger in 1968, and three brothers, Orville, Otis and Aurrie Snook.
Earlier in life, Geraldine was employed at Yorktowne, Mifflinburg, and as a domestic worker, cleaning and caring for area churches and private homes. She also assisted her husband on the farm. She enjoyed going shopping, visiting different churches and attending family gatherings.
Friends and family will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 23, at the Hummel Funeral Home, Middleburg. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Wayside Bible Church, Middleburg, with Pastor Tim Reich officiating. Interment will be in Hartleton Cemetery.
