Robert T. and Doris E. Murrell, of Lewistown, recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. They were married April 16, 1942, in Louisville, Ky.
They are the parents of two children: the late Gayle Murrell, and Robert J. Murrell, of Lewistown. They have two grandchildren, Amy Cook, of Lewistown, and Dan Murrell, of Williamsport.
They lived in the Pittsburgh area for close to 50 years before moving to Lewistown three years ago.

They were invited to Germany on the anniversary of the Second World War as guests of Germany. He has appeared on "Good Morning America." He is active in his veteran's organization and they still attend the annual reunions all over the country. He has recently written several books on his experiences during the war.
They still do everything together, are active members of The First Baptist Church of Mifflintown, and love living in Lewistown with family and many new friends.
