MIFFLINTOWN - Mary E. Rager, 76, a resident of Brookline Manor Nursing Home, Mifflintown, died at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at the nursing home.
Born Aug. 12, 1935, in Snyder County, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Stella (Knepp) Romig.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Rager Jr., in 1996, and her brother, LeRoy Romig.
Mary is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Rager and wife, Nancy, of Levittown, Steven Rager and wife, Chris, of Levittown, John Rager, of Levittown, Charles Rager, of Espinosa, Calif., Louis Rager, of Woodbridge, Va., and Joy Pennebaker, of Lewistown; her siblings, Frances McCloskey and husband, Jim, Milton Romig and wife, Myrtle, Nora Wray and husband, Richard, and Martin Romig and wife, Terri, all of McClure; and 11 grandchildren.
She was a Lutheran by faith.
Her memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2012. at First United Methodist Church, Specht Street, McClure, with the Rev. Kathy Mercado officiating.
Her family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of the service, at the church.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mary's memory can be made to the charity of one's choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
