LEWISTOWN - Bertha R. Mizerek, 81, of Lewistown, died at 9:07 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2012, in the emergency room of Lewistown Hospital.
Born Sept. 6, 1930, in Elizabeth, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Martin and Anna Syrydynski.
Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick E. Mizerek, on Feb. 20, 2001.
She is survived by: her children, John Pulowski and wife, Jane, of New Jersey, and Edward R. Mizerek, of Lewistown; siblings, Steve Syrydynski, of Toms River, N.J., Sophie Karamus, of Linden, N.J., Frances Soltys, of Colonia, N.J., and Anne Ozimek of Bridgewater, N.J.
She was a member of Lewistown Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
Bertha was a homemaker and enjoyed putting puzzles together and also working on crossword puzzles.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Homes Inc., Lewistown, with the Rev. John Looney officiating.
Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.
