RICHFIELD - Kenneth D. "Ken" Dressler, 66, of Richfield, died at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Lewistown Hospital.
Born Nov. 4, 1945, in Fayette Township, Juniata County, he was the son of Kenneth N. Dressler, of North Ridge Center, McAlisterville, and the late Mary E. (Colyer) Dressler.
On Dec. 21, 1971, he married his surviving wife, Diane K. (Winey) Dressler with whom he shared more than 40 years of marriage.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by: four children, Christopher Dressler and his wife, Jeanne, of McAlisterville, Ryan Dressler and his wife, Sharon, of Equinunk, Allison Pyle and her husband, Tim, of Mechanicsburg, and Lindsay Mehring and her husband, Adam, of Arlington, Va.; a sister, Mary Evelyn "Peach" Yeater and her husband, Dean, of McAlisterville; and he leaves behind eight precious grandchildren.
He was a 1962 graduate of East Juniata High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
His memberships included Bunkertown Church of the Brethren and Northumberland Boat Club.
In earlier life, Mr. Dressler was employed by the Miss Fashionality Blouse Factory of East Salem, and for the last nineteen years was employed by the U.S. Postal Service of Harrisburg as a distribution clerk.
Ken's passions were Corvettes, fishing trips to Canada, boating, tending to his garden and flowers; however, he was a true family man, who loved to spend time with his family, especially attending his children's and grand- children's activities.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Bunkertown Church of the Brethren, 52 Bunkertown Road, McAlisterville, with Pastors Greg Jones and Andrew Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Goodwill Cemetery, McAlisterville, where the Juniata County Veterans Council will accord full military burial honors.
Viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2012, at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc. 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday, at the church.
