MIFFLIN - William P. "Bill" Walters, 94, of Mifflin, died Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Locust Grove Retirement Village.
Born Feb. 1, 1918, in Spruce Hill, he was a son of the late Samuel W. and Mary (Bender) Walters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret P. "Marg" (Yetter) Walters, on March 13, 2007, one son, Timothy Paul Walters, and four siblings, Thelma Saylor, Viola Walters, John Walters and Jay Walters.

He is survived by one brother, Warren "Dutch" Walters and wife, Sara "Kitty," of Port Royal, and many nieces and nephews.
Bill retired from Empire Kosher. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
His funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. William Esborn officiating. Interment will be in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery.
There will be a viewing from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Thursday, at the funeral home.
