MILROY - Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident which occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 322, just below the crest of the Seven Mountains, Mifflin County Regional Police report.
According to an official with the Montour County Coroner's office, Dennis Rhodes, 56, of McClure, died as a result of the crash.
Police said the accident occurred when the front wheel of a 2002 Harley-Davidson V-Rod motorcycle, driven by Rhodes, hit the left rear wheel of a Jeep Wranger, causing the motorcycle to go out of control, flip over several times and throw Rhodes onto the pavement. Police said Rhodes was flown to Geisinger Medical Center by Life Flight from the scene.
