Recently, my daughter and her boyfriend were in need of housing. They were excited to be moving forward with the process. Due to an unexpected issue concerning her boyfriend's estranged mother and a complicated leasing issue with another county housing authority from over 10 years ago, the two were facing a roadblock to get housing.
After my daughter and her boyfriend tried to resolve the matter with no luck, I encouraged them to contact Rep. Adam Harris. Over the years, Rep. Harris has helped me with several other matters. In this instance, he immediately had staff contact HUD and the issue was resolved quicker than we imagined it would be. This was a complicated matter involving other "red tape." Representative Harris could have referred us elsewhere since HUD was a federal agency, but instead he treated us with the highest regard.
My wife and I are hard working people. We were born and raised in Mifflin County. We don't like to have to ask others for help but we know we can go to Rep. Harris at any time. We aren't a family that gets caught up in politics; we just appreciate the efficiency and continual kindness shown by Rep. Harris and staff. I hear a lot of others who say they have also gone to Rep. Harris and received help.
After reading letters to the editor recently, we learned that Rep. Harris is up for re-election. We urge our neighbors and friends to get out and vote for him this month.
