LEWISTOWN - Rosaline A. Soles, 92, of Gapes Road, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Ohesson Manor, in Lewistown.
She was born Jan. 3, 1920, in McClure, a daughter of the late John H. and Sudie (Baker) Will. On July 30, 1939, she married Jim F. "Pap" Soles, who survives.
Rosaline attended McClure area schools.
She was a member of St. John's Ridge Lutheran Church, in McClure.
Mrs. Soles was a loving homemaker, dedicated to raising her family.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, gardening, cooking and watching birds. She also liked collecting Longaberger baskets, spoons and plates.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are: four sons and daughters-in-law, Fred A. and Dolores Soles, of Reedsville, Jimmy L. and Judy Soles, of Texas, Tommy N. and Doris Soles and Ricky A. and Susie Soles, all of Beaver Springs; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Betty A. Mackneer, of Beaver Springs, Arlene F. and Leonard Ellinger, of Lewistown, and Brenda J. and Mike Chesney, of McClure; one sister, Marjorie Weader, of Middleburg; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
Rosaline was preceded in death by: one infant son; one son-in-law, William Mackneer; one granddaughter, Dianne Whisler; one brother, Kenneth Will; and two sisters, Ottoline Peters and Betty Schilling.
Friends and family will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, at St. John's Ridge Lutheran Church, Stage Road, McClure. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., with Pastor Dave Pennebaker officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining Black Oak Ridge Cemetery.
