HUNTINGDON - Curtis L. "Pud" Taylor Jr., 93, formerly of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at Huntingdon Manor.
He was born Feb. 20, 1918, in Reedsville. He was the son of the late Curtis L. and Clare (Henry) Taylor. His wife, Arlene M. (Spiglemyer) Taylor, preceded him in death in 2010.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Taylor, and a sister, Pauline McKinney.
Curtis is survived by: his two daughters, Kay Tillet and husband, Jerry, of Caddo Mills, Texas, and Beverly Sechler and husband, Thomas, of Petersburg; his siblings, Lavern Bressler and Donald Taylor, both of Lewistown; his grandchildren, Wendy Davis, Pam Tarrant, Dale Tillett, and Craig and Scot Sechler; and nine great- grandchildren.
Curtis was a private in the U.S. Army 184th Infantry, serving in Okinawa during World War II. He also received the Purple Heart for injuries he sustained during the war.
He retired from FMC and Overhead Door. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans and a member of the union of FMC.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, at the Barr Funeral Home Inc., 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with Pastor Danny Neff officiating.
A visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Interment will be in Mount Rock Cemetery. Graveside military services will be held by VFW post 7011.
