LEWISTOWN - Carolyn A. "Carrie" Marinos, 89, of South Wayne Street, Lewistown, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at Golden Living Center William Penn.
She was born Nov. 21, 1922, in Aaronsburg, the daughter of the late Ray and Lula (Stricker) Bressler.
Her husband, Peter J. Marinos, preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 2004.

Carrie also was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Marinos, on Jan. 21, 2012, a brother, Ray Bressler, and a sister, Frances Hunter.
She is survived by: a son, John Marinos, of South Wayne Street; a daughter, Tina Walls and companion, Brian Heckert, of Reedsville; two sisters, Martha Bowen, of Mechanicsburg, and Rayelene Saxton, of Shamokin Dam; grandchildren, Stacy Marinos, of Richmond, Calif., Carolyn Dunn, of Thompsontown, Christa Zitko, of Hummelstown, and Adam, Jordon and Ethan Marinos, of Lewistown; and great- grandchildren, Ellen, Mackennah and Emma Zitko.
She was co-owner of the Diana Candy Shoppe for more than 52 years and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lewistown.
In years past, she loved to travel and going camping in the motor home with her family. She was an avid football fan, especially of Penn State, and loved playing card games, putting puzzles together, and watching the Antiques Roadshow and American Pickers on television.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at the Barr Funeral Home Inc., 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Kari Swigart officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at the funeral home.
