MIFFLINTOWN - Wayne "Richie" Kratzer, 51, of Mifflintown, died on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, as a result of a tractor trailer accident in Roanoke, Va.
Born March 1, 1960, he was the son of the late Walter C. and Dawn (Powell) Kratzer..
Also preceding him in death was a brother, Walter C. "Charlie" Kratzer Jr.

Wayne is survived by: his wife, Annette, whom he married on June 21, 2005; stepson, Brandon Fohringer and companion Taty, of Mifflintown; his son, Garren Kratzer, of Lewistown; siblings, Patricia Rhodes and husband, Daryl, of McVeytown, Gerald Kratzer and wife, Diane, of East Waterford, Rose Sollers and husband, Gary, Dennis Kratzer and companion, Celeste Hook, and Tracy Kratzer, all of McVeytown; sister-in-law, Linda Kratzer, of McVeytown; and many nieces and nephews, whom he dearly loved.
He loved family time and being with friends. He enjoyed hunting and going to the Port Royal races.
Wayne was a truck driver for YRC, Inc.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., (Woodlawn), 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. John Walters officiating.
A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Pine Glen Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
He will be sadly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, those who wish should donate to an animal shelter of their choice, because of his love for his dog, Molly.
