Benjamin C. Yoder

REEDSVILLE - Benjamin C. Yoder, 76, of 6320 E. Back Mountain Road, Reedsville, died on Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born in Wayne County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Christian D. Yoder and Mary (Troyer) Yoder.

Benjamin was preceded in death by his wife, Annie S. Yoder.

He also was preceded in death by six brothers, three sisters and two half-brothers.

He is survived by his children: Rudy Yoder and wife, Amanda, of Allensville, Emma Yoder, Mary Yoder and husband, Jacob, both of Reedsville, Samuel Yoder and wife, Rebecca, of Shipshewana, Indiana, Christ Yoder and wife, Dorothy, Benjamin Yoder and wife, Nancy, Lizzie Yoder and husband, Seth, Alpha Yoder and wife, Katie, all of Reedsville; and 26 grandchildren.

Also surviving are his siblings: Rudy Yoder, Lizzie Yoder and husband, Dan, both of Goshen, Indiana, Amanda Yoder, of Stantonville, Tennessee, half-brother, Andrew Yoder, of Apple Creek, Ohio, and sister-in law, Mary Yoder, of Ethridge, Tennessee.

Benjamin was a member of Old Order Amish Church.

After retirement he loved to work at the Belleville livestock barn on Wednesday where he was employed for approximately 25 years.

Services will be held by S. Christ Hostetler and Yost Yoder on Sunday, Dec. 25, at 9 a.m. at the Yoder home.

Interment will take place at Green Lane Cemetery, in Reedsville.

Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc. 108 First Ave., Burnham.
