LEWISTOWN - Betty F. Gilbert, 75, of Kish Apartments, formerly of 20 Ort Valley Road, Lewistown, died at 9:34 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at Lewistown Hospital.
Born in Lewistown on July 10, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Earl R. Brannon and Mary F. (Young) Brannon.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Phillip D. Gilbert, on May 2010 after 43 years of marriage.

Also preceding her in death were her siblings: Louise Brannon (Faux), Lonete Brannon McKee, Lewis Brannon, and Leon Brannon.
She is survived by a sister, Erma J. Lewis, of Lewistown.
Also surviving are many nieces and nephews: Daniel Lewis, Todd Lewis, Linda Westrick and husband, Joe, Jeffrey McKee and wife, Marjorie, Rita Zimmerman, Mary Ruth Booher and husband, Charles, Laura Mowery and husband, Patrick, Cindy Brannon, Michelle Sauer and family, Scott Zimmerman and family, Jesse and Nathaniel Westerick, Kristopher McKee, Dustin McKee and family, Rachel and Abby Booher, Kimberly and Brady Henry, Emma Lee Mowery, Kaitlynn Mowery; great-nieces, Shawna Finkenbiner and daughters, Madison and Halle, Kyla Lewis and daughter, Brooklyn; in-laws, Leonara Brannon, Loretta Purcel, John and Clara Ann Gilbert and their families.
Early in life she worked at Bon-Ton, Roy Crider's, and Fern Stuck's. Later, she had a bath house and sold Beeline and Home Decor parties. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a caregiver to those in need.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 11 am at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc. (Woodlawn), 200 N. Main St., Lewistown with the Rev. Bernard Carpenter officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Mt. Rock Cemetery.
