LEWISTOWN - Sandwich lovers take note. There's a new Subway in town.
Located inside the AM PM Mini Mart Citgo gas station along Electric Avenue in Lewistown, the eatery is open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week, and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Part of the Subway franchise, the restaurant is owned by Dhanji Mistry, who also is the owner of the AM PM Mini Mart.

A Subway opened in November inside the AM PM Mini Mart station along Electric Avenue in Lewistown. Its hours are from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week.
The Subway opened on Nov. 26, and offers a full menu. Breakfast, starting at 5 a.m., is available all day, Mistry said.
This Subway, however, doesn't provide seating, Mistry said.
"The whole store is like a grab and go," he said.
Mistry, of Lewistown, said what makes this Subway unique is that customers can call in and place their orders ahead of time. This is an advantage for those who may not have a long lunch break, he said.
The AM PM Mini Mart, which Mistry opened in March 2005, is open from 4 a.m. to midnight, he said. With the addition of the Subway, it is now more of a one-stop shop, he said, explaining that customers can get gas, buy their lottery tickets, and now buy a meal.
"Now they have the option to do everything at one place," Mistry said.
Mistry said he decided to bring Subway to his business because he had been trying to offer food there for a while.
"Subway has great food," he said, adding that he's a longtime Subway patron himself. "It's healthy. I wanted to bring (a) healthy choice for customers."
Mistry said when he first opened the station a few years ago, his goal was to hire at least 18 people. He had not been able to do that thus far, he said. But, with the addition of the Subway, he can achieve that goal.
"We are still hiring," he said.
The AM PM Mini Mart is located at 230 Electric Ave. in Lewistown, near Lewistown Hospital. For more information call 248-0050.
