Katie Elaine Varner, of McAlisterville, and Joseph Merle Hosler, of Port Royal, are engaged to be married on April 28, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Mifflintown.
She is the daughter of Dean and Jody Varner, of McAlisterville. She is a 2008 graduate of East Juniata High School and a 2011 graduate of the United States Career Institute.
He is the son of John and Linda Hosler, of Port Royal. He is a 2004 graduate of Juniata High School. He is employed as a laborer at Centerview Farm in Mifflintown.
