MIFFLINTOWN - Juniata County School Board President Mark Wagner announced Tuesday that he is launching a write-in campaign to retain his seat on the school board.
According to a press release, Wagner said he is seeking write-in votes to retain his seat as the school board director for Region 5, Fermanagh Township.
The release states Wagner first gained the position in 2002 after he was appointed to fill a vacancy on the board. In 2007, Wagner defeated opponent Ray Page in the primary and went on to win the fall election that year, according to the release.

Wagner said he would like to thank the voters in Fermanagh Township for their encouragement to run in the upcoming municipal election, slated for Tuesday, Nov. 8.
