To the editor:
I am writing this letter to express my endorsement and support for Steve Snook for Mifflin County District Attorney.
As an experienced law enforcement professional, I know Steve to be a hard working public servant who deserves to continue in the job. Over the years, I have come to know Steve as a tough, experienced prosecutor who is a veteran of over 12,000 criminal cases. Any time, day or night, Steve responds to assist local law enforcement with expert legal advice and insight.
Whether it is combating drugs, prosecuting serious crime, handling delicate child abuse cases or protecting law abiding citizens, Steve has never let us down and has earned the title of Mifflin County's top law enforcement official.
His office has been run in a sound fiscal fashion and his reputation is such that he was named a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Middle District Federal Court to assist in prosecuting federal drug cases. He is also part of the state's Attorney Medical Legal Advisory Board and is certified by the national District Attorney's Association as a Child Abuse Prosecutor.
Steve, in the opinion of the law enforcement community, is a tough but fair district attorney and a first rate crime fighter. Local residents can't afford to lose Steve's experience and effectiveness.
