To the editor:
Heartbeat Community Services Inc. of Perry and Juniata counties is a non-profit organization fighting for life in today's world if misinformation and indecision. As a board member of HCS I am writing to thank the churches of these counties that contributed to saving the unborn.
By participating in The Baby Bottle Project you have also helped to fund the abstinence classes being offered on the junior high level throughout both counties using the Choosing the Best curriculum. Assemblies and an advanced course is offered on the high school level as well as the opportunity to experience life as a parent by adopting a Baby, Think it Over doll for a weekend.
All these services are free of charge to our schools because of your generous support and we want to express our gratitude. If your children have not had the opportunity to participate in this excellent curriculum, feel free to call the principal at his or her school and inquire as to why they haven't.
If your church has not participated in this fund raising effort and you have an interest or questions, you may contact our office at 717-589-7208.
The public is cordially invited to our annual fall banquet November 12th at 6:00 at the First Baptist Church FMC building, featuring Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood director turned pro-life advocate, as keynote speaker. Reserve your seat by calling the center as soon as possible.
