REEDSVILLE - Ron Barner wanted to open a steak house where customers can enjoy a "real steak," so he established Trail's End Steakhouse, a new restaurant in Reedsville.
Located on Old Rte. 322, Trail's End offers both buffet and menu items, including what Barner says is the most popular eat: the 10-ounce ribeye steak.
Other items include chicken and waffles, and homemade pot pie, he said.

The buffet, which features something different each time, consists of such fare as meatloaf, homemade macaroni and cheese, fried chicken and spaghetti and meatballs. The Sunday breakfast buffet, which launched last month, offers ham and turkey, Barner said.
All of the restaurant's breads and desserts are made on the premises, Barner said, and include apple, blueberry, pumpkin and peach pie, as well as about six different kinds of cake.
Barner, of Lewistown, said he decided to open Trail's End because he currently owns another restaurant, Red's Diner in Lewistown, and he wanted "something for this end of the county."
