Kauffmans celebrate 50th anniversary

Paul and Sandy (Schell) Kauffman, of Belleville, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married Aug. 20, 1961, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Lewistown.

They celebrated their anniversary with a family dinner, then a carriage ride to West Kishacoquillas Presbyterian Church for a surprise party with close friends, given by their children.

They are the parents of Tammy and husband Ted Carothers, of Belleville, and Pete Kauffman and wife Nancy, of Belleville.

They have six grandchildren: Anthony and wife Meghan Carothers, Zachary Carothers, Mackenzie, Lindsey, Ben and Dan Kauffman.

Paul is owner/operator of Pak Transport with his son, Pete.

Sandy is a homemaker.

They are members of West Kishacoquillas Presbyterian Church of Belleville.

They attribute the success of their marriage to love, laughter and family.
