YEAGERTOWN - Parents have a new, local place to buy and sell their youngster's clothing and accessories, thanks to an area teacher who has brought her online children's consignment shop business to life by opening a nearby store.
Yeagertown resident Heather Brehman started her business, Recycled Baby, about three years ago as a website, in which she utilized such online markets as eBay and Craigslist, she said.
The company sells children's, juniors and maternity clothing, toys, gear and anything "kid-related," Brehman said.

Heather Brehman, of Yeagertown, stands outside her new business, Recycled Baby, which is a children’s items consignment shop. The business, which first began as a website about three years ago, opened in June and is located in the Yeagertown Plaza.
After accumulating much of these items in her home from operating the online business, Brehman's fiancee encouraged her to open a store, she said.
Recycled Baby, located in the Yeagertown Plaza, officially opened in early June. Brehman continues to manage her website in addition to the store.
She hopes, that by opening an area location, she can provide parents with the opportunity to purchase "really nice things for their kids" without paying full price, and also be able to sell what they no longer need.
Kids grow out of their clothing fast, Brehman said, and many have more clothing and toys than they need, which is why the business is beneficial.
Brehman said she sets the prices in her store, but commission is 50-50, and every 30 days the seller will get paid, she said.
In the future, Brehman said she might be able to move into a bigger location at the other end of the shopping center. She said she'd like to be at her current location for at least a year, though, in order to grow her business.
