Rachel Harpster and Andrew Casner, both of McVeytown, are engaged to be married on Sept. 3 at the Maitland Church of the Brethren.
She is the daughter of Walter and Audrey Harpster, of Belltown. She is a 1999 graduate of Indian Valley High School, and she is attending the Lewistown Hospital School of Nursing. She is employed as a technician at Lewistown Hospital.
He is the son of Douglas and Deborah Casner, of McVeytown. He is a 2002 graduate of Lewistown Area High School. He is employed full time on his family's farm.
