Police: Woman hurt in crash

A woman was flown via medical helicopter to Geisinger Medical Center with moderate injuries after she crashed her Ford Escort LX into a tree along Locke Mills Road in Armagh Township, Mifflin County Regional Police reports. Police said the woman was traveling west when she failed to negotiate a curve in the road, veered off the road and struck a tree. She was entrapped before being extricated from the vehicle by local fire companies. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Milroy Fire and EMS, Reedsville Fire Co., FAME EMS and Armagh Fire Police assisted at the scene.
