MIFFLINTOWN - The Juniata Democrats will be holding two more 'Meet the Candidates' events where Democrats can meet and talk with the individuals running for county offices.
The first one will be held from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28 at the Mifflin Fire Co. Annex in Mifflin. On March 5 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. another event will be held at the Richfield Community Senior Center, in Richfield. Petitions for the April 12 primary election will be available for Democrats to sign so that candidates' names will appear on the ballot. Candidates need 100 signatures from registered Democrats for their names to appear on the primary ballot. Light refreshments will be served at both events.
