Magisterial District Judge Jack Miller seeks to retain seat

LEWISTOWN - Current Magisterial District Judge Jack E. Miller has announced his intent to seek re-election to District 58-3-01.

Miller's district includes Wards 1 through 5 of the Lewistown Borough, Juniata Terrace, the boroughs of McVeytown, Kistler, and Newton Hamilton, as well as Bratton, Granville, Wayne and Oliver townships.

Miller said he is a Republican and will cross file on the Republican and Democratic tickets in the May 17 primary election.

Judge Miller resides at 59 Deere Run in Ferguson Valley.

Miller said he is a 1973 graduate of the Kishacoquillas High School and was employed from 1978 to 2005 with the Lewistown Borough Police and the Mifflin County Regional Police, retiring as a sergeant.

Miller said he has maintained his Pennsylvania Supreme Court Certification and brings with him an in depth background of knowledge, experience and expertise.

Miller said he has the keen ability to deal with all types of situations and personalities.

Miller has also been involved with many local organizations. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Naginey Firearms Training Association, the Mifflin County Sportsman's Association, the Juniata Valley Police Pistol Association, the Lewistown Pistol Club, and the Mifflin County Youth Fair and also supports the Mifflin County 4-H program.

Miller said he is also a life member of the NRA and life member of the Law Enforcement Alliance of America.

Miller said he has dedicated his time and effort to the duties of Magisterial District Judge and desires to continue serving the community.
