A Pontiac Grand Am, driven by Donna Cramer, 75, of 402 S. Logan Boulevard, Burnham, struck a Lexus RX before crashing into a garage behind her house, Mifflin County Regional Police report. Police said the accident happened when Cramer was calling for medical assistance while stationed in her driveway. Police said a neighbor came to help, but Cramer had lost consciousness and inadvertently stepped on the accelerator. The vehicle then traveled up the lawn and struck a tree before hitting the vehicle and garage owned by L.H. “Buck” Headings, police said. Headings said the collaborative efforts of Fame EMS, Belleville and Reedsville Fire companies and police were ‘outstanding.’ Both vehicles sustained front-end damage, however Cramer’s Grand Am was towed from the scene.
