William and Florence (Grove) Watt, of Lewistown, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married on June 18, 1960, at Granville Methodist Church by her father, Rev. Bruce M. Grove and Rev. Clumbo.
The special anniversary was celebrated with a meal for family and friends at Malta Park and a renewal of vows by her brother, Pastor Kenneth Grove.
They are the parents of Candice Spickler and husband, of McVeytown; Cindy Walker and husband, of Milroy; and Crystine Kohler and husband, of Granville. They have nine grandchildren, one deceased grandchild and 10 great-grandchildren.
William is retired from New Holland and works at Joe Krentzman and Sons. Florence retired on disability.
They are members of Ferguson Valley Brethren in Christ Church.
They attribute the success of their marriage to "trusting in God, never going to sleep angry and always communicating."
