Walter and Gladys Treweek celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Aug. 18.
They were married in 1945 by the Rev. Edward S. Opdenhoff, assisted by Rev. Amos Hommel at the Reedsville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
To celebrate, they spent several days in Lancaster, seeing plays and shopping.

They have two children, Walter Treweek Jr., of New Britain, and Daniel Treweek, of Reedsville. They have five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Walter retired from the American Viscose Corp. in 1972, from the Harrisburg Post Office in December, 1989, and from the Burnham Giant store in October, 2009.
Gladys was employed at the Artcraft Shirt Co. for several years.
They attend Lewistown Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
