CLEVELAND - Donald R. "Dick" Zettle, 71, of Eastlake, Ohio, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at Hospice House in Cleveland.
He was born Oct. 15, 1938, in Yeagertown.
Mr. Zettle was a retired machinist from Rockwell Automation in Euclid for 35 years, retiring in 1998.
He loved spending time with his families, both in Ohio and Pennsylvania, casinos, horse racing and sports, especially Ohio State. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play in their sporting events and also enjoyed spending time and travelling with his fiance, Gert.
Survivors include his children, Duane Zettle and wife Tracy, of Willoughby, Sandra "Chris" Bair and husband Mark, of Willowick, Jonathan Kish and wife Michelle, of Solon, Lisa Kish, of Lyndhurst, Jamie Matheson and wife Missy, of Lakewood, and Peter Kish and wife Mary Ann of Parma; grandchildren, Jason Snyder and wife Renee, Katherine Blair and husband Andy, Amy Zettle, Kara Gillespie, Michael Gillespie, Caitlyn Zettle, Melissa Bixel and husband Ben, Andrew Bair, Ry Ann, Ben, Elizabeth and Paul Kish, Caroline Kish and Dessa Biaglow; great-grandchildren, Bruce and Rylee; one sister, Linda Carnes of Ashtabula, all of Ohio; one brother: Charles "Bud" Zettle and wife Donna, of Santa Fe, Texas; and fiance, Gertrude M. "Gert" Druckemiller, of Lewistown.
He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Barbara Groudle and Mariam "Lou" Timm.
Memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19 at Evangel Baptist Church, 375 W. Fifth Street, Lewistown. Family and friends will be received from 7 p.m. on that evening.
