Rita M. Moser, of Lewistown, and Harold C. VanMeter Jr., of Mantua, N.J., were married April 24, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lewistown.
The bride is the daughter of the late Sylvester A. and Nellie W. Burd, of Lewistown. The groom is the son of the late Harold C. and Mildred VanMeter Sr., of Haddon Heights, N.J.
Ceclia R. Orloski, of Fairless Hills, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. The best man was Robert L. Carroll, of Maple Shade, N.J.

The bridesmaids were Rita K. Ritchey, of McVeytown, daughter of the bride; and Dolores P. Weaver, of Port Matilda, cousin of the bride.
The flower girls were Veronica D. Brown, of Lewistown, great-granddaughter of the bride; and Alyssa V. Heimbach, of Yorkville, Ill., great-granddaughter of the bride.
The ushers were Derek T. Heimbach, of Lewistown, grandson of the bride; and Eric D. Heimbach, of Maryland, grandson of the bride.
The ring bearer was Gavin L. Nygard, of Mechanicsburg, great-grandson of the bride.
The Rev. Jeffrey Thoms performed the ceremony that also included organists Anthony Hallinan and Cathryn Stout.
A reception followed at the Lewistown Community Center.
The bride is a 1953 graduate of Lewistown High School. She retired from a position as a legal assistant for the 171st District.
The groom is a 1954 graduate of Camden County High School and a three-year graduate of Glouster County Radio TV School. He retired from a position at Bunnel Plastics at Mickelton, N.J.
They live in Lewistown.
