MOUNT UNION - It is not often that rural Pennsylvania becomes the hot spot for music fans across the nation.
Every year, the little town of Shirleysburg moves in a city's worth of youth groups and music-lovers for the annual Creation Festival, which hosts today's top Christian artists, speakers and other entertainment.
This year, the 32nd annual festival will run from June 30 to July 3 with daily music, speakers, children's activities, an extreme zone, exhibit buildings and more at the Agape Farm, according to a press release from the festival.
The weekend lineup includes bands such as Skillet, Toby Mac, Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, the David Crowder Band, Switchfoot, Newsboys, Family Force 5 and others. The nation's top speakers such as Bob Lenz, Louie Giglio, Reggie Dabbs and Ron Luce also will take the stages at Creation, according to the press release.
The Fringe Stage will feature alternative Christian artists, including Group 1 Crew, Seabird, The Classic Crime, R-Swift and Brian "Head" Welch, founding member and former lead guitarist of Korn, according to the press release.
Creation has once again teamed up with Interlinc to provide youth leaders with the Youth Leader VIP Experience, a special tent that will house daily seminars by festival speakers, exclusive artist talkback sessions where youth leaders can meet and have candid discussions with some of the artists appearing at the festival, enjoy free snacks and connect with other church leaders from across the nation, according to the press release.
Free camp sights are available to groups beginning on June 29. Volunteer opportunities also are available throughout the weekend.
